A Lubbock graphic artist, historian, petroleum draftsman, and poet, Fred Cowart was also Chief illustrator for Reese Air Force Base. He composed The Firepower Theme, which was written in 1983 in honor of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds aerobatics team. The materials came from Mr. Cowart's personal collection.
